RENTAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. PARTIES AND BINDING AGREEMENT
These terms apply to all rental agreements between Suomen Vuokranetti.fi Oy ("Lessor") and the customer ("Renter"). A booking becomes legally binding once it is confirmed by the Lessor and the Renter has completed the payment. The Renter must be at least 18 years of age and present a valid government-issued photo ID upon pickup or delivery.
2. PAYMENTS AND SECURITY DEPOSIT
Payment: All rental fees are paid in advance via the provided payment methods. Prices include VAT unless stated otherwise.
Security Deposit: The Lessor reserves the right to charge a refundable security deposit (Takuumaksu). This deposit is returned within 3–5 business days after the equipment is returned and inspected, provided it is in the agreed condition.
3. CANCELLATION AND CASH REFUNDS
More than 48 hours notice: Full cash refund of the rental price.
24 – 48 hours notice: 50% cash refund.
Less than 24 hours notice: No refund will be issued.
Note: Specific service fees (e.g., pre-booked installation) are non-refundable once the service has been performed.
4. INSPECTION
Renter’s Inspection: The Renter is obligated to inspect the equipment immediately upon receipt. Any existing damage, missing parts, or functional issues must be reported to the Lessor before use. Failure to report such issues implies the equipment was received in good working order.
5. LATE RETURNS AND EXTENSIONS
Informed Extensions: If the Renter requests an extension at least 24 hours before the end of the rental period, the period may be extended at the standard daily rate, subject to equipment availability.
Uninformed Late Returns: If the equipment is returned late without 24-hour prior notice, a penalty fee of 10% of the daily rental price for every started hour of delay will be charged.
6. RENTER LIABILITY AND PROTECTION UPGRADE
Standard Liability: The Renter is fully liable for all damage, loss, or theft of the equipment. Liability is capped at the full replacement value of a new equivalent product.
Full Protection Waiver (+20%): The Renter may opt for "Full Protection" by paying an additional surcharge of 20% of the total rental price. This waiver removes the Renter’s financial liability for accidental damage.
Exclusions: This protection does not cover loss, theft, or damage caused by gross negligence, intentional misuse, or leaving the equipment unattended in an unsecured location.
7. CONSUMABLES AND ACCESSORIES
Consumables: Certain items may include consumable components (e.g., detergents, sandpaper, fuel). These are charged based on actual usage. Unopened consumables may be returned for a refund.
Accessories: All included accessories (cables, manuals, cases, etc.) must be returned. Missing accessories will be charged at their full replacement cost.
8. USE, MAINTENANCE, AND CLEANING
Proper Use: Equipment must be used only for its intended purpose and in accordance with provided instructions. Sub-leasing to third parties is strictly prohibited.
Cleaning: Equipment must be returned in the same state of cleanliness as received. If an item requires professional cleaning, a cleaning fee will be charged according to the price list.
9. INSTALLATION AND SUPPORT SERVICES
Installation: If the Renter requests assistance with installation (e.g., roof boxes, event equipment), a separate service fee will be charged as agreed.
Product Swaps: The Renter may upgrade or swap a product during the rental period (depending on availability) by paying the potential difference in the rental price. No refunds will be made in switching to a less expensive item.
10. TECHNICAL FAILURE AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
In the event of a technical equipment failure not caused by the Renter, the Lessor’s liability is strictly limited to a refund of the rental price for the unusable period. The Lessor is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages, such as loss of income, ruined events, or third-party costs.
11. TERMINATION OF CONTRACT
The Lessor reserves the right to terminate the agreement and repossess the equipment immediately, without refund, if the Renter breaches these terms or if there is a reasonable suspicion that the equipment is at risk of damage or theft.
