Thule Motion XT XXL ski box

Thule Motion XT XXL ski box

Product description

When you can't have too much space – the Thule Motion XT XXL is one of Thule's largest ski boxes, swallowing a big family's skis, boots, helmets and bags in one go. Power-Click quick mounting with torque indicator makes installation secure, Dual-Side opening gives access from both sides, and the market's easiest SlideLock locking shows with an indicator that the lid is fully closed. A clever detail: the forward-mounted position allows unobstructed tailgate use, so the XXL size also suits cars whose roof length would otherwise be too short – the estate tailgate opens normally beneath the box. If you're packing for five people or carrying long gear, this is the box you won't want to downsize from.

Frequently Rented Together

Frequently asked questions

Will such a large box fit my estate?

Yes, in most cases – forward mounting leaves room for the tailgate. Tell us your car model when booking and we'll confirm compatibility.

What should I do if the box is damaged?

Check externally that no parts or contents come loose while driving and contact us immediately. The renter is liable for damage to the box up to retail price unless you have purchased separate insurance (see additional services).

How many pairs of skis fit in the box?

6–8 pairs depending on length – or 4 pairs plus the whole family's boots, helmets and bags.

Does a large box increase fuel consumption much?

At motorway speeds typically 0.5–1 l/100 km – the low Motion profile keeps the extra reasonable for the size.

Does the tailgate really open with the box on?

Yes – on most cars installation allows normal tailgate use. On a few cars the opening angle is slightly limited, but you can still use the tailgate with the box on the roof.
