The Hapro Traxer 8.6 ski box allows you to safely transport skis, sports equipment, and luggage on your car's roof – leaving your trunk free for the whole family. Its sturdy construction and stylish, streamlined design mean the box is barely noticeable inside the cabin and doesn't consume excessive fuel. The lid opens from both sides, making packing easy from either side of the car. The 210 cm interior length accommodates even long, traditional-style skis, and the 500-liter capacity can hold boots, helmets, and bags simultaneously. Mounting takes minutes with the Premium-Fit quick-fasteners: the automatic torque indicator clicks clearly when the fastener is securely attached to the roof rack – you can't overtighten. Will 180 cm skis fit in the box?
Yes – the internal length is 210 cm, so even long cross-country skis will fit without problems.
Is the box suitable for my car?
The box attaches to almost all roof racks with quick-mounts. If your car doesn't have a rack, we also rent a compatible roof rack and install the whole setup for you.
Does the box lock, and can I leave belongings in it?
The box has central locking and the keys come with it, so the lid stays securely shut while driving. On long stops it's still not worth leaving valuables in the box – the plastic shell is not break-in proof.
How quickly can installation be done at pickup?
We allocate 10–15 minutes for pickup with racks: we install the box and any racks together, demonstrate how the mounts work, and ensure everything is tight.
How much can I pack in the box?
The manufacturer's recommended load is about 50 kg – be sure to also check your car's maximum roof load capacity. Pack the heaviest items in the center.
