The Makita DBO180 is an 18-volt cordless random orbital sander that allows you to sand furniture, doors, moldings, and small surfaces smooth without swirl marks – the eccentric motion leaves the surface even and ready for painting. Being cordless, the tool goes wherever the work is: to the yard for a furniture project, to the cottage, or to a boat without extension cords. The three-speed adjustment adapts the sanding power to the material, and a dust bag or vacuum connection keeps the workspace tidy. 125 mm hook-and-loop sanding papers change in seconds from one grit to another. What sanding papers do I need?
Typically K80 for coarse sanding, K120 for intermediate sanding, and K180–240 for finishing. You can get the papers from us, charged according to use.
Is the machine suitable for paint removal?
Yes, for light paint removal with coarse paper – thick layers of paint should first be scraped off or more powerful equipment should be used.
Does the machine leave swirl marks?
Not when used correctly – the eccentric motion creates a mark-free surface. Keep the machine moving and don't press down: the machine's own weight is sufficient.
Can a vacuum cleaner be attached to the machine?
Yes – the vacuum connection fits our construction vacuum cleaner, so sanding dust goes directly into the tank and not into your lungs.
