Can a jigsaw cut a sink opening in a countertop?
Yes, this is exactly the right tool – drill a starter hole, saw along the line, and the opening is clean. Tape the cut line to prevent surface chipping.
What materials can the saw cut?
Wood up to about 135 mm, plus plastics and thin metal with the right blade – ask about suitable blades at pickup.
What is the orbital action for?
Orbital action speeds up cutting in wood, as the blade also bites on its forward stroke. For precise curves, laminate and metal, switch the orbital action off for the cleanest finish. The setting is on the lever on the side of the machine.
How do I get a clean finish on laminate?
Use a fine-tooth blade, low orbital action, and saw laminate with the back side facing up – the surface won't chip.
Will the battery last the whole project?
Yes – one charge cuts dozens of metres of line, and the charger comes along.
