Makita DDF482 Cordless Drill

Makita DDF482 Cordless Drill

Product description

The Makita DDF482 is a reliable 18-volt cordless drill – the general-purpose tool needed for almost every project, from assembling furniture to screwing down decking. The two-speed gearbox provides torque for screwing and speed for drilling, and the 13 mm keyless chuck accepts all standard drill bits and screwdriver bits without tools. Stepless speed control and multi-stage torque adjustment prevent screws from overtightening and heads from stripping, even in delicate materials. The built-in LED light illuminates the work area in a cabinet corner or a dimly lit storage room. The lightweight body fits comfortably in hand even during long tasks. The machine comes with a battery and charger – bring your own bits and tips or ask us for a suitable set.

Frequently asked questions

Does the machine drill into concrete?

Yes, into light brick and block with patience, but for concrete, we recommend our hammer drill (Makita DHR242) – it's made specifically for that.

Are bits and tips included?

Not with the basic machine – use your own or ask us for a suitable bit/tip set when picking up.

Is the battery sufficient for assembling furniture?

Plenty – one charge screws hundreds of screws, and the charger comes along just in case.

Which gear do I choose for which job?

First gear is slow and high-torque – choose it for driving screws and for large holes. Second gear spins fast and suits small drill bits in wood and metal. Only change gear when the machine has stopped.

Why rent a drill instead of buying a cheap one?

A quality machine does the job faster and more accurately – and if you drill twice a year, renting is cheaper than buying a quality machine.
