Product description
The Makita AC001GZ is a quiet 40 V XGT cordless compressor for finishing and surface work: use it with a pneumatic finish nailer for trim, panels and indoor jobs without an extension lead, generator or petrol noise. The oil-free brushless design is maintenance-free, and the 7.6 L tank fills from empty to full in about 100 seconds. Air output is 34 L/min at 6.2 bar back pressure, max pressure 9.3 bar — enough for a finish nailer, air blow-off and light pneumatic work. Working pressure adjusts from 0–9.3 bar, and the compressor restarts automatically when tank pressure drops to about 7.2 bar. The low-speed unit (about 2,075 rpm) and rubber-damped feet keep running noise moderate (about 68 dB), so you can work indoors without noise travelling through the structure. A frame with padded carry handle protects the unit in transit; weight with battery is about 12 kg. One 4 Ah XGT battery supports hundreds of nailing cycles. Hoses and nailers are not included — bring your own or ask us.

Is it suitable for a finish nailer?
Yes — it is designed for finishing and surface work. 34 L/min and 9.3 bar max are enough for a typical pneumatic finish nailer. For heavy framing nailers and continuous heavy use, choose a larger mains or petrol compressor.
How loud is it indoors?
Running noise is about 68 dB and the rubber feet damp structure-borne sound. It is clearly quieter than a typical jobsite compressor, so trim and panel work indoors works without generator or petrol racket.
Will the battery last the whole job?
Makita says one 4 Ah XGT battery supports hundreds of nailing cycles. Runtime depends on nailer draw and breaks. The charger is included — charge on a break or rent an extra battery for a long day.
Are a hose or nailer included?
No — the rental includes the compressor, battery and charger. Bring your own air hose, fittings and nailer, or rent separately if we have a matching model.
Does the compressor need oil?
No — it is oil-free and maintenance-free. Still drain condensate from the tank after use so the next job gets dry air.
