The Makita DTW1002 is an 18-volt cordless impact wrench that can loosen even seized bolts, making tasks like tire changes, trailer maintenance, deck frame bolts, and machine fastenings effortless. It has a tightening torque of up to 1,000 Nm and even more loosening torque, so when changing winter tires, the tool does in seconds what would take a while with a lug wrench. The 1/2-inch square drive fits most common impact sockets, and the three-stage power adjustment prevents overtightening in lighter tasks. The brushless motor runs efficiently, and the battery lasts for dozens of bolts. Remember to finally tighten wheel bolts with a torque wrench to the manufacturer's specified value – the tool does the heavy lifting, the torque wrench finishes safely.
